It recorded 767.1 million journeys in 2025, averaging about <strong>2.1 million trips per day<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Demand remained at the same scale in early 2026: TRTC recorded <strong>380.3 million journeys from January through June<\/strong>, again averaging about 2.1 million daily trips across its five-line network.<\/p>\n<p>The official operating map also includes the <strong>Circular Line<\/strong>, whose open 14-station section runs 15.4 km from Dapinglin to New Taipei Industrial Park. It has been operated separately from TRTC since May 23, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>TRTC&#8217;s five lines plus the New Taipei Metro Circular Line form a <strong>six-line, 146.5 km subtotal<\/strong>. Taoyuan Airport MRT remains a third, separate system operated by Taoyuan Metro Corporation.<\/p>\n<p>The Wenhu Line is unusual because it is <strong>fully automated and driverless<\/strong>.
