Toshkent metropoliteni put the same year at more than 287 million, but counted differently, so the two numbers are not interchangeable.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the underground stations, the surface <strong>Halqa Line<\/strong>, also called the Circle Line, covers <strong>14 stations between Texnopark and Qipchoq<\/strong> in the operator&#8217;s July 2025 update. The Tourism Committee counted <strong>3.2 million international and 4.1 million domestic visitors<\/strong> in Tashkent in the first half of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Uzbekistan&#8217;s state tourism portal notes that <strong>police are stationed at Metro entrances and exits<\/strong>, though that alone is no guarantee of safety. Officers may lawfully ask to <strong>inspect your luggage<\/strong>, and refusing can mean you are not let through.<\/p>\n<p>Step-free access varies across Tashkent Metro stations. Uzbekistan&#8217;s Ministry of Transport <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digital.gov.uz\/oz\/mintrans\/news\/view\/179793\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported in June 2026<\/a> that <strong>69 lifting or ramp devices at 23 underground stations<\/strong> had been recorded, of which only <strong>38 were operating or in technical trials<\/strong>. Ask station staff for help and check your specific station before you set out.<\/p>\n<p>Tashkent International Airport has no operating direct Metro connection as of August 4, 2026, so the final leg is by road.<\/p>\n<p>Uzbekistan Airports directs arriving passengers to the <strong>unified taxi dispatch desk in the arrivals hall<\/strong>.
