The operational network also includes elevated corridors, but it does not have one operator or one fare structure.<\/p>\n<p>As of 23 July 2026, passenger service covers Lines 1, 2A, 3 and 7 plus <strong>only Phase 1 of Lines 2B and 9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority, known as MMRDA, develops and oversees metro projects. It is <strong>not the operator of every line<\/strong>. Any Mumbai Metro route map therefore needs a date and operator label to prevent planned corridors from looking open.<\/p>\n<p>The operational-status table is current to 23 July 2026. It opened on 8 June 2014 and has 12 stations over 11.4 km. The operator&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rinfra.com\/documents\/1142822\/15552929\/Annual_Report_2024_25.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2024-25 annual report<\/a> recorded 1.1 billion cumulative passenger journeys by 30 April 2025.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Line 2A, Yellow Line:<\/strong> Andheri West \u2194 Dahisar East, operated separately by Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited, or MMMOCL. The 18.6 km line has 17 stations and has been fully open since 19 January 2023.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Line 7 and Line 9, Red Line:<\/strong> MMMOCL operates the integrated Gundavali \u2194 Kashigaon service. Line 9 Phase 1, from Dahisar East to Kashigaon, comprises four stations and began regular service on 8 April 2026.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Line 2B, Yellow Line:<\/strong> Only Phase 1 from Mandale \u2194 Diamond Garden is open. The five-station, 5.4 km section began regular service on 8 April 2026 under MMMOCL.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Line 3, Aqua Line:<\/strong> Aarey JVLR \u2194 Cuffe Parade, operated by Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited, or MMRC and MMRCL. The complete 33.5 km corridor has 27 stations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Mumbai&#8217;s Metro Line 3: What Changed in 2026?<\/h3>\n<p>The Aqua Line has operated end to end from Aarey JVLR to Cuffe Parade since <strong>8 October 2025<\/strong>. Its <strong>27 stations<\/strong> include 26 underground stations and one above-ground station, giving visitors a direct rail corridor through the airport area, BKC and South Mumbai.<\/p>\n<p>Line 3 opened in three stages. Aarey JVLR to BKC entered passenger service on 7 October 2024. BKC to Acharya Atre Chowk followed on 10 May 2025, before the final section to Cuffe Parade completed the corridor.<\/p>\n<p>The latest official MMRC image shows all 27 stations, including the two airport stations. It is a Line 3 diagram, not a network-wide map for lines operated by MMOPL and MMMOCL.<br \/>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3>How to Read the Mumbai Metro Map Coverage<\/h3>\n<p>The embedded diagram is the official Maha Mumbai Metro Network Diagram. It shows Lines 1 to 14, the Monorail, Navi Mumbai Metro and Suburban Railway, together with an operational-status table. Because that table reflects a <strong>2025 snapshot<\/strong>, it still lists the Line 2B and Line 9 Phase 1 sections and the full Line 3 corridor differently from their current status, so mixed open, under-construction and planned corridors appear on one image. In particular, it shows the complete planned alignments of Lines 2B and 9 even though only Phase 1 of each line carries passengers as of 23 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Use the <strong>dated operational table<\/strong> rather than line colours alone when planning a trip. Each row distinguishes a passenger-open section from the longer planned corridor. This is especially important for Lines 2B and 9, whose complete alignments extend beyond the Phase 1 sections currently available to passengers.<\/p>\n<h3>Mumbai Metro, Local Trains, Monorail or Navi Mumbai Metro?<\/h3>\n<p>Mumbai Suburban Railway is a <strong>separate Indian Railways network<\/strong> operated by Western Railway and Central Railway. Its services are not metro lines, even when a journey combines a Local train and metro connection.<\/p>\n<p>Mumbai Monorail is another separate system. Its 20 km route with 17 stations has had passenger operations <strong>suspended until further notice since 20 September 2025<\/strong>, so it is not a current metro alternative.<\/p>\n<p>Navi Mumbai Metro is a separate CIDCO system, with Line 1 operation and maintenance handled by Maha Metro. Its 11.1 km Belapur to Pendhar Line 1 has run since 17 November 2023, but it <strong>does not directly serve Navi Mumbai International Airport<\/strong>.<br
