That history makes the current Toronto Subway Map especially useful because today&#8217;s rail network now combines different modes and operating statuses.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/transparency-and-accountability\/Operating-Statistics\/Operating-Statistics---2025\/Conventional-System\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Toronto Transit Commission<\/a> operates three conventional Subway lines with 70 unique stations and 70.1 km of one-way route length. TTC recorded 345.4 million Subway boardings in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The current network is easy to misread if every numbered line is called Subway. Lines 1, 2 and 4 are conventional Subway. Lines 5 and 6 are light rail transit, usually shortened to LRT. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/routes-and-schedules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TTC routes and schedules page<\/a> is the source for these maps and current timetable information.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><span id=\"toronto-subway-lines-overview\">Toronto Subway lines overview<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/routes-and-schedules\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Line 1 Yonge-University<\/a>, yellow:<\/strong> Finch to Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, with 38 stations across 38.4 km.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/routes-and-schedules\/2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Line 2 Bloor-Danforth<\/a>, green:<\/strong> Kipling to Kennedy, with 31 stations across 26.2 km.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/routes-and-schedules\/4\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Line 4 Sheppard<\/a>, purple:<\/strong> Sheppard-Yonge to Don Mills, with five stations across 5.5 km.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]Line 3 Scarborough RT ran its last train on 24 July 2023. TTC confirmed the permanent closure a month later, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/about-the-ttc\/projects-and-plans\/Future-of-Line-3-Scarborough\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bus replacement service<\/a> now operates instead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/riding-the-ttc\/Line-5-Eglinton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Line 5 Eglinton<\/a> is a 19 km LRT from Mount Dennis to Kennedy with 25 stops. Passenger service began on 8 February 2026, but TTC still described its operation as a phased opening on 17 July 2026.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ttc.ca\/news\/2026\/March\/Line-6-Finch-West-moves-to-full-operations-and-extends-service-hours-this-Sunday\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Line 6 Finch West<\/a> is a 10.4 km LRT from Finch West to Humber College with 18 stops. It moved to full operations on 15 March 2026.
